I have spent over 18 years as a competitive cheerleader at the all-star, high school, junior collegiate, and collegiate levels. I have spent 4 years as a volunteer coach for multiple cheer teams across varying ages and ability levels. I am currently coaching for a private all-star cheerleading company (CEA Chicago) and a Catholic high school (Saint Viator). I also teach a cheerleading jump techniques classes.
Golden Apple Foundation Scholar
As a Golden Apple Scholar, I was trained through summer institutes to be an exceptional and impactful teacher, especially in schools-of-need. It provided me with 325 hours of classroom experience and instruction across various school settings, and engaged me in multi-week pre-teaching workshops and seminars addressing development of my skills in Cultural Competency, Growth Mindset, Instructional Best Practices, Professional Expectations, and Civic Engagement.
Phi Theta Kappa
Vice President of Fuel Pantry
I spent my time during the school year at the College of DuPage partaking in the Phi Theta Kappa honors society. I was elected as an officer and became the VP of the Fuel Pantry. I made sure the on-campus food pantry was stocked, organized, and well staffed. I won International and Regional recognition for this position as "Distinguished Chapter" and "Outstanding Officer".

Peer Buddy
During my senior year of high school, I volunteered as a peer buddy. I worked 1:1 with some of my special needs peers during their adaptive gym period to help them complete their daily tasks and provide guidance. This is where I was first exposed to special education and was inspired by the passionate professionals.
